| On October 2-4, 2001 Lithuanian Librarians Association, the Library Association (UK)
and the British Council are organizing a workshop for children librarians. The goal of the workshop is to spread UK experience in library services for children, teach Lithuanian librarians new methods and techniques, help them to create networks in their local communities, involve children in interesting activities. The workshop will be conducted by two British lecturers Janice Hall, Priority Services Manager in Newcastle and Christine Hall, Young People's and Community Services Manager in Hertfordshire. This is the second workshop conducted according to the Agreement between the Library Association (UK) and the Lithuanian Librarians Association. 30 participants from different districts from Lithuania will take part at the workshop which will be held at the premices of the Vilnius County Adomas Mickevicius Public Library. The lectors from the UK will get acquainted with the Children's Literature Centre of the National Martynas Mazvydas Library of Lithuania, Salomeja Neris Gymnasium Library, Karoliniskes Department of the Vilnius City Public Library, Children's Literature Department of the Vilnius County Adomas Mickevicius Public Library, will visit the British Council Lithuania. |
