With the invitation of the Library
Association E.Banionyte and R.Zirgulyte visited British libraries and participated in
the 84th Annual Conference of Scotish Library Association The Inclusive Society (more).
P.Saudargas, A.Zandaraviciene and J.Pakalniskyte participated in the international
conference Libraries and Associations: New Technologies and New Form of Co-operation
in Crimea, Ukraine.

A new working group of the LLA was established to prepare a project The Code of
Ethics. Members: A.Skuodyte, J.Rudzioniene, Dr. V.Mozuraite, R.Petuchovaite,
D.Kliukiene, I.Sidariene.
Lithuanian libraries were represented by E.Banionyte, Dr. A.Glosiene and
R.Budvytyte at the 4th International Symposium of Bibliotheca Baltica in Stockholm.

Lithuanian libraries at the Congress of Culture of Nordic and Baltic countries in
Jurmala were represented by E.Banionyte.
V.Rimsa, P.Saudargas and A.Zandaraviciene participated at the Annual Conference of
Estonian Library Association.
Dr. B.Railiene participated at the conference of Association of Belarussian
Librarians Information Technologies on the Intersection of Ages: Problems and Solutions.

The Lithuanian Librarians' Association homepage was placed on the server of the
OSF-Lithuania.
December
A Congress of the Lithuanian Librarians’ Association took place in the Vilnius Pedagogical University (more).
Rima Graziene, the Director of the Vilnius City Public Library was elected the
President of the Lithuanian Librarians' Association.
LLA organized a workshop Copyright and Libraries at the America Center in Vilnius.
